The program NEWTWIN, by Dale A. Keller, was used in the design of DS-3.  This program was mainly used to determine the size of the secondary ring and the secondary mirror.  Sorry about the size of the pictures - I wanted to keep them original screen size, which makes them easy to read.

The NEWT main page shows as follows.  Notice that we are not vignetting the 75% ray, and that a 2.05" secondary mirror is "big enough".
